Although, Ivoryline has been in the studio for the last couple of months, they haven’t been posting a ton of updates. However, their latest video blog shows the band doing pre-production for their new album and a pretty good chunk of it is a jam session, so you get to hear some new music. Also the band has posted some pictures of their time in the studio, and they’ve announced a new Australian Tour via their twitter. Emery has just announced the re-release of their first three albums. On April 6th, they will be re-releasing “The Weak’s End,” “The Question” and “I’m Only A Man” as a set titled “Are You Listening.” According to their twitter Emery is currently in Seattle writing for a new record, but “People don’t buy music anymore so we’re recording Jersey Shore cast members talking. YESTERDAY'S NEWS...< 02.05.10> The Classic Crime has been doing a lot of work for Haiti lately, as well as working on a brand new album and they have worked out a way to combine both. The band’s new album “Vagabonds” will be released on April 6th on Tooth and Nail Records and they are donating all of the proceeds from their pre-order sales to earthquake relief. Also the band recently returned from a trip to Haiti and they have been posting video blogs from that as well. This is definitely something worth getting behind, so pre-order this album, link up here. RadioU Hardcore band Oh Sleeper has just posted their brand new video for “The Finisher.” The new video is a sequel to their first music video for “Son of the Morning,” which was recently uploaded to iTunes for your purchasing pleasure. Speaking of new tunes, House of Heroes has been a little quite about the new music they are working on, but the band’s drummer Colin Rigsby has been giving fans some tidbits via twitter. According to Rigsby, the band has been in Nashville this week in the studio, working on pre-production and drum tracking. He’s also posted a couple twit pics from the studio as well. You can follow him on twitter by linking up here.< 02.03.10> I’m sure you were aware that As I Lay Dying has been working a brand new album and after spending the last couple months in lead singer Tim Lambesis’ studio they have surfaced with an update. According to the latest interview with Lambesis, the title of the new album is “The Powerless Rise,” and the band hopes release it sometime around April. Life on the road can be tough, especially when your tour vehicle breaks down, and unfortunately for Inhale Exhale, their van took its last breath. The band is still trying to make it to as many cities as possible on their current tour but the repairs to their van are pretty costly. Link up here for more details. August Burns Red has just revealed that they will be featured on the new Take Action compilation album. Although they won’t be a part of the tour, an alternate version of their song “Indonesia” will be on the album, which hits stores on February 9th. The Take Action tour and album raise money for a lot of different non-profit organizations and this year’s proceeds will benefit the Driving for Donors organization, which helps people with Leukemia. Their new album “Untouchable,” will be out March 9th on Rise Records. You can pre-order the album through their MySpace page and the package includes a T-shirt with the album artwork on it. They’ve posted two new songs called “Sing to Me,” and “Bulletproof,” online as well as the album tracklisting. Last year’s Rock and Worship Roadshow sold almost 170,000 tickets to all of their shows and almost 75,000 people watched Jeremy Camp, Hawk Nelson and more live online. This year the tour features Family Force 5, Remedy Drive and a ton of other artists and it will still online cost $10. Link up here for all the details.< 01.29.10> In the wake of a disastrous earthquake in Haiti, a lot of bands are stepping up to the plate to help. < 01.28.10 > Yesterday on the Insider, I told you about The Wedding getting robbed, and unfortunately the news doesn’t get any better today. After months of silence, Falling Up has officially announced they are taking a permanent break. According to Jessy, the band’s lead singer, “After touring extensively since we were 19 and 20 year olds, the lot of us have diverged into other areas in our lives and drifted away from the group known as Falling Up. It’s been a good journey and thank you so much for your continued support throughout the years.” The band will be playing their last show at Parachute 2010 in New Zealand with the likes of Underoath, Switchfoot and Family Force 5; what a way to go out. The looters stole thousands of dollars of personal equipment as well as journals and books containing lyrics and song pieces for their new record. Also out today is the new album from Living Sacrifice called “The Infinite Order,” and Above the Golden State’s, “The Golden Rule.” If you don’t win anything, the shop page is where you should be headed. Speaking of new music, The Rocket Summer has posted a new song online called “Walls.” That song is off of the new album “Of Men and Angels,” which will be released on February 23rd. You can currently download his new EP “You Gotta Believe,” through the shop page. Since the big game is just around the corner, I wanted to let you know to keep and ear open for Thousand Foot Krutch. Their song “Fire it Up” will be used on the highlight reels during the game. < 01.25.10 > With the release of an album as good as “Birds and Cages,” you had to expect 2010 to be a big year for Deas Vail. So far this year they’ve supported Owl City’s headlining tour which sold out every show. They will be supporting Copeland this spring on their final tour, and they have just announced they’ll be a part of the summer’s biggest tour for a few dates in August. Good for them…go buy their album, it’s awesome. For all of you hardcore fans, Facedown Records has announced the cancellation of this year’s Facedown Fest. Before you get your knickers in a knot though, they have said that they will be sending out a bunch of new Facedown bands for a Facedown Tour. No word on the official lineup yet, but keep checking hxc.radiou.com for the latest. Last but not least, Number One Gun’s new album “To the Secrets of Knowledge,” comes out tomorrow, and to give you a taste of their new album they’ve posted a few new songs online. Also we’ll be giving that one away tomorrow on RadioU so be listening for your chance to win. < 01.22.10 > In some not so surprising news, Skillet has had a lot of success with their new album “Awake.” In the last few of months since its release, they’ve sold 300,000 copies of the new album. Also, their song “Hero,” will be used in the upcoming trailers and promos for the new film, “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.” Skillet has just announced that they will be a part of the “Sound of Madness,” tour this winter before hitting the road with tobyMac this spring. According to a recent update from the band, they will be doing contests throughout the tour on their website and twitter for some special giveaways. They have posted all of the tour details in a blog of their MySpace if you want to check them out. < 01.21.10 > After releasing a new video for their Christmas song “The Little Drummer Boy,” The Almost has just posted a new video for their song “Hands.” Also Aaron Gillespie was recently a part of To Write Love on Her Arms, “Heavy and Light” acoustic show and you can see the live performance online. Flyleaf has already released two brand new videos from their new album “Memento Mori.” The latest is for their first single “Again,” and you can download the video for FREE by checking out Flyleaf’s website. Last but not least, I Am Empire has just finished up a new video for their song “The Elevator.” You can check out the video on their MySpace page, where you will also find some details about their new tour. < 01.20.10 > Showbread has just announced the release of a brand new DVD. The “Nothing Matters Anymore,” DVD features footage from their eight week CD release tours, as well as music videos, interviews, studio footage and more. They have posted a DVD trailer online as well as a brand new video for their song “I Think I’m Going to See You.” Lead singer Josh Dies has also created his own website so that fans can keep up with his writing. According to his latest post, he’ll be releasing a sequel to “Nevada” which he hopes to release towards the end of 2010. Not much has been going on with The Becoming since their lineup changes last spring, but it looks like they’ll be hitting the road again this winter. They’ve just announced a pretty big tour that starts January 23rd and runs through March 13th. In RadioU Hardcore news, Impending Doom just announced that they were currently writing some new tunes and they have posted the lyrics for a brand new song called “Welcome to Forever,” online. Also, In the Midst of Lions have made the jump from Strike First Records to Facedown Records. They will be recording a new album in March.< 01.18.10 > Lots of rumors are swirling around the interwebs about The Fold being sued. Most of those rumors are based around the Fold’s parody of the Miley Cyrus song “Party in the U.S.A.” None of these rumors have been confirmed and according to the band’s twitter they aren’t legally allowed to talk about it at this time, so everything is speculation. So to be honest…we don’t know much, but when details begin to surface we’ll be sure to let you know. A while back I told you about a side project from The Chariot’s lead singer Josh Scogin called A Rose by Any Other Name. The new album is called “One for My Master and One for My Dame,” and is set to release on May 7th. Scogin has posted a new song called “Unfather” on his MySpace page, along with a few other demos. Don’t forget The Chariot will be on tour with Inhale Exhale this winter and spring for the “Tours and Rumors of Tours” tour.< 01.15.10 > Although 2009 was a pretty quiet year for P.O.D., they have just posted what looks to be a pretty busy outline for 2010. The band will be touring South America starting March 18th with spot dates through the middle of April. Also, a couple of the guys have been in the studio recording new material “just to get the blood flowing,” although new music hasn’t been confirmed. Marcos has been working on a new side project with Joe Loeffler of Chevelle and Dave Buckner of Papa Roach, and the other guys have been helping produce other bands and designing new shoes. Last week on the Insider I informed you that Inhale Exhale with be supporting The Chariot on the “Tours and Rumors of Tours,” tour. If you head to their MySpace page to find out the details for the tour make sure you don’t miss their brand new music video. It’s for their song “Did You Ever Have a Touch to Lose,” and was produced by Iron Curtain Media.< 01.14.10 > Family Force 5 ended 2009, receiving some accolades from AP Magazine’s end of the year poll. They were named one of the Records to Watch in 2010, they were also named the Best Live Band. They also got nominated for Best Music Video with “Dance or Die,” and Best B-Side Song for “Keep the Party Alive.” Also, the band has just announced that they have produced a new song for Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” called “Topsy Turvy,” which will be featured on the soundtrack. That movie hits theaters on March 5th in 3D. Children 18:3 has been working on new music recently. According to their twitter updates the band will be heading back into the studio in February to finish recording their new album, and they hope to release it sometime in May. Also they have just announced a new tour with Abandon Kansas and you can find all the tour dates on their MySpace page.< 01.13.10 > After all of the rumors floating around about Demon Hunter’s member changes and new album, the band has finally made some things official. They have just finished up their fifth album called “The World is a Thorn,” and it will be on the shelves on March 9th. Demon Hunter has also announced that Ascendicate guitarist Ryan Helm and Patrick Judge will be the official replacements for Don Clark and Ethan Luck. If you wondering about Randy Torres from Project 86, he was apparently filling in for the band during the “HunTour.” You can check out some new pictures of the band and the album tracklisting on their MySpace page. If you didn’t know, Living Sacrifice is releasing a brand new album next week called “The Infinite Order.” The band has posted the album artwork online as well as two brand new songs called “Organized Lie” and “They Were One.”< 01.12.10 > Children 18:3 has just announced that they are currently working their sophomore release for Tooth and Nail Records. It’s for their new song “The First Words” and the band has also been posting a weekly video blog which you can check out as well.< 01.11.10 > You heard about the “Tours and Rumors of Tours” tour with The Chariot and Inhale Exhale; you already know about the “Awake Tonight” tour with Skillet and TobyMac, and another big winter tour has just been announced. That tour is the “Speaking Louder Than Before” tour with Jeremy Camp and The Afters. The full details for the tour haven’t been announced yet, but you can check out the dates they do have listed on The Afters MySpace Page. If you missed the TVU Christmas special with Underoath, August Burns Red and Emery, you may not know that Emery is heading to Europe. They’ll be touring through the UK, Germany and the Netherlands for a couple of weeks at the end of March.
